One of the few things that connect Singaporeans is hawker food. We enjoy good food, and will readily travel from one end of Singapore to another, if it means finding the best local fare. Despite the wide variety of hawker food we can find in our little red dot, there is always that one stall we return to when we are seeking solace. CHIAK Local is all about the one stall that our personalities always find themselves returning to.
CHIAK Local is a web series hosted by Maureen, better known as Miss Tam Chiak in the Singapore blogosphere. Each episode will feature a personality, who will bring us to his or her favourite food stall, and share with us why the stall is memorable to them. The featured dish / stall will be accompanied by a short introduction, for our audiences that are not familiar with Singapore food, or for viewers who simply want to learn the heritage behind our food.
